Bertha Garcia, MSW, LSW

Bertha Garcia joined TriCity Family Services in July of 2022 as a part-time Case Manager, and later transitioned into a full-time therapist. Bertha obtained her Bachelor and Master Degree in Social Work from Aurora University in 2022 and 2023. Prior to joining the agency, Bertha worked as a radiology scheduler and mammography tech aid with Advocate Medical Group.

Bertha strives to create a safe, non-judgmental and affirming space for all age groups. When working with clients, Bertha utilizes an array of therapeutic techniques that are client-centered, and strengths focused. She also works with tools such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) that can help support in coping with daily stressors and transitions. Through empathetic listening, validation, and support, Bertha hopes to empower clients to find hope and meaning in the midst of difficult life challenges.

During her free time, Bertha enjoys reading, creating arts and crafts, and spending time with family and friends.
